Motions for Conference 2018

NEC MOTIONS

Motion 1

That this Conference mandates the National Executive Committee to raise the monthly Defence Police Federation subscriptions to £18:31 per month which will equate to a rate of 1% of pay point 1 of a Constables salary to be effective from January 1st 2019.

Motion 2

That this Conference mandates the NEC to negotiate with the CCMDP for a biannual review of the Northern Ireland Transitional Allowance and press for its immediate introduction backdated to the date when it was originally applied for in 2015.

Motion 3

That this Conference mandates the NEC to negotiate with the Ministry of Defence and the CCMDP to fund private health care access for members of the Ministry of Defence Police in line with that currently afforded to the members of the Armed Forces.

That this Conference mandates the NEC to negotiate with CCMDP to change the levels of annual fitness testing to mirror the requirements set by the College of Policing for role specific policing jobs regardless of when officers joined the Ministry of Defence Police.

That this Conference mandates the NEC to negotiate with CCMDP to vary the levels of annual fitness testing to take account of an officers age.

That this Conference mandates the NEC to request the Ministry of Defence Police to continually improve and expand its welfare support system.

That this Conference mandates the NEC to request the Force to institute Mental Health Awareness training for all officers but with particular reference to Line Managers.

Motion 8

That this Conference mandates the NEC to correspond with the Chief Constable to the effect that unless all aspects of the TACOS agreement of 2015 (including the payment of the Unsocial Hours Allowance regardless of affordability) are fully implemented within 31 days of a date specified in the correspondence, the DPF will seek to withdraw entirely from the 2015 agreement and seek re-instatement of the terms and conditions of service that existed immediately prior to the 2015 agreement.

That this Conference mandates the National Executive Committee to engage with the CCMDP for a full review of the Ministry of Defence Police’s Bullying and Harassment investigation process.
