As you know, the DPF is currently in a formal negotiation with the MOD on changes to MDP Terms and Conditions of Service (TACOS). Both sides recognise that the future MDP TACOS proposition must be affordable within the agreed MDP budget over the next 10 years.
The DPF has been informed that a revised TACOS offer should be with us for consideration later this week. We will of course update members in due course, but until the revised offer is formally made by the Department it would not be appropriate for the DPF to speculate or comment further whilst the formal negotiation process is on-going.
We fully understand the importance of the TACOS review for all officers and will update you as soon as we have a formal position on which to advise.
