HMRC Inspection of DPF Accounts

By DPF Admin29th September 2014March 4th, 2024Area Updates, Circulars, Latest News, Northern Updates, Southern Updates

Members are advised that the HMRC carried out a review of the DPF accounts, which is now concluded.

The investigation had taken place for over 12 months with several exchanges between DPF and HMRC. This resulted in some minor amendments to the way we administrated our accounts (provision of some additional information on claim forms for example) but, HMRC is content that we are fully compliant with their legislation and do not intend to recover any retrospective liabilities.

Nevertheless, we (DPF) intend to continue with our random audit by Trustees and members should be aware that, where a claim form is submitted, payment will not be made unless all details requested are provided. This is necessary to ensure we continue to be HMRC compliant and we thank you for your cooperation.
