Yesterday the General Secretary, Northern Area Secretary and DPF Welfare Officer attended the Health Fair at MDP OCC hosted by the MDP Occupational Health Team and took part in Mini Health Checks including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol & weight management.
The Health Fair opened this week in the Operational Capability Centre (OCC) at MDP HQ Wethersfield.
The fair is open from 09:00 to 17:00 every day throughout the week, with talks/presentations planned to take place from 10:15 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 16:30 each day.
Mini health checks for glucose, cholesterol and carbon monoxide levels, weight management and blood pressure are available for all staff. There will also be presentations on health, food and nutrition and mental wellbeing and social connectedness.
Lots of freebies will be available and attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the Health Fair raffle.
