The Way Forward

The Federation’s five year Management Plan takes account of the future size of the Force and the impact this will have on our membership base. With this in mind and the continued pressure from the Department in terms of reducing facility time, the Management Committee at its March meeting set up a small team, headed by Vice-Chairman Tom Cullen, to look at ways of how best the organisation could be restructured without detriment to the overall level of service to the wider membership. It was also decided to engage the services of BSI Business Solutions to discuss the way forward regarding adoption of ISO9002 business principles and practices.

The internal review has now been completed having carefully considered all the evidence and submissions supplied by the Regional Committees and other interested parties. A discussion paper on The Way Ahead has now been circulated to the Regions for consideration and debate at this year’s Annual Conference in October.
