New General Secretary

Jim Miller will take over as General Secretary on 1st October 2003. Jim is currently Secretary of the Mid West Area and a process is underway to select his replacement. The outcome will be announced shortly.

Jim has 25 years service having joined MDP in April 1978. His first posting was ROF Chorley and thereafter served at Greenham Common before being promoted Sergeant in November 1987. Since then Jim has served at Milford Haven, Devonport and Trecwn before returning to RO Chorley in 1994.

Jim has been actively involved with the Federation throughout his career and served on various committees at branch and area levels since 1988. He became Secretary of Central Region, now the Mid West Area in 1999 and more recently has been instrumental with restructuring and development of the DPF Quality Management System.
