DLO Security Review

The Defence Logistics Organisation is to review guarding (armed and unarmed) across the DLO estate. The study will examine the organisational structure, functional tasks and operating methods of each guard force employed to protect DLO establishments.

Recommendations must be capable of meeting operational commitments in compliance with Departmental Security policy, taking into account the principles of risk management. At the present time DLO is MDP’s largest customer with 1400 officers serving at 25 establishments across the defence estate.

The review is to be completed by December 2001.
