Chief Inspectors Pay

Problems are still being encountered with PPA Bath over Chief Inspectors pay. The pay agency has now written to individual officers giving details of the amounts by which they have been overpaid and inviting them to respond with proposals for repayment. DPF has advised those officers who are affected to write to PPA acknowledging receipt of any correspondence and say that they have referred the matter to DPF who will act on their behalf.

The General Secretary has written to the Chief Executive of PPA requesting that overpayments be written-off on the basis that the errors which have occurred are not the fault of the individual. The overpayments were received in good faith and to seek recovery would cause individual hardship.
