Limited Mobility Waiver

Attention is drawn to MoD Personnel Instruction, 38/00 dated 7 April 2000, which gives details about a Limited Mobility Waiver Scheme. MDP officers are classed as mobile grades and therefore liable to transfer to any location in the UK. The purpose of a limited mobility waiver is to allow individuals breathing space to overcome the immediate difficulty that a relocation would cause. It will not apply to those who move as a result of a career managed move or relocation following the success of an application for an advertised post.

DPF is in consultation with Force management about drawing up guidelines as to how the scheme will apply to MDP.
