Housing Allowance

Members will be aware of the ongoing dispute with Force Management over the payment of housing emoluments following transfers within MDP. The matter has been pursued legally with High Court proceedings filed. The Defence lodged by MDP concedes that mistakes have been made with regard to transfers prior to a Force Order issued in 1996. But they assert that the Force Order altered Conditions of Service and that later transfers have been correctly dealt with. This is disputed and both parties have agreed to a short suspension of the Court proceedings to discuss the possibility of a negotiated settlement. Further updates will follow.
