Subscription increase

Members are advised that with effect from 1 April 2004 DPF subscriptions, in accordance with Conference Resolution 2003, will increase to £10.70 per month. This is in line with pay increases received both at 1 April and 1 September 2003. Members are reminded that they are able to claim tax relief on their subscription payments at the current basic rate of tax. This is done automatically by Inland Revenue and shown on the PAYE Coding Notice as Professional Subscriptions. As an example: annual subscription 12 x £10.70 = £128.40, Tax Relief (22p in £ assumed) £128.40 x 22% = £28.25. Net subscription (i.e. the real cost to members) is £128.40 - £28.25 = £100.15 annually, £8.35 monthly.
