DPF Stance on Detached Duty Accommodation
The Defence Police Federation wish to advise all
members that they are making robust representation
regarding the quality of Detached Duty
Accommodation. We would like to see a day when all
accommodation is of the same standard as that
expected by the Hotel Booking Service, however, at
this moment in time this is a standard that we cannot
enforce.
All members are reminded that
accommodation must be suitable for purpose, i.e.
clean, single sex ablutions, single occupancy etc. You
are responsible for making this assessment at the
time. If, due to health & Safety for example, it would
be unsuitable to occupy a room say because of the
noise levels, then you must bring this to the attention
of the officer responsible. If you are not offered
alternative accommodation then we will represent
you in this area.
Every endeavour is made, by your
Federation, to inspect all DD Accommodation, but
where a problem does arise, please inform us as soon as possible.
