Parliamentary Facilitator

The DPF currently retain the services of a Parliamentary Facilitator namely Mr James Winston who is based at the House of Commons.

He works on our behalf for two days per month to assist with:

• Monitoring the parliamentary timetable for police related debates, enquiries etc and reports back to the DPF.
• Communicating Federation briefing to MP’s, Peers and opinion formers around Westminster
• Liasing with Defence Police Federation PR adviser Alan Burnside
• Arranging Parliamentary Receptions
• Updating other parliamentary advice and support when needed.
• Keeping the DPF informed of issues for Party Policy and Conference.

He also liases with DPF staff to arrange meetings with Ministers as necessary.
