NET PAY DEDUCTION & PENSIONABLE STATUS OF HOUSING EMOLUMENTS

Dear member,

We had our meeting with Counsel, on the 16th of May 2006, in relation to the Net Pay Deduction and the Pensionable status of our allowances.

The meeting was very extensive, covering all of the issues we had tabled. However, both Counsel and our Solicitors have advised that we are unable to openly discuss their advice, to maintain confidentiality and to avoid any breach or waiver of legal Privilege.

That said I am in a position to inform you that the situation is moving forwards and that we are in the process of opening dialogue with the official side, both MDP and MoD, in relation to these issues.
