Thursday 1st February is 'Time to Talk' Day

Published: 31/01/2018

It’s easy to think there’s no right place to talk about mental health but the more we talk about it the better life is for all of us.

Too many people with mental health problems are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. Time to Talk Day is a chance for all of us to be more open about mental health and to talk, to listen, to change lives.

If you would like to talk to a Mental Health First Aider in confidence, first aiders will be available on Thursday 1st February 1000-1200 & 1300-1500 in the meeting and quiet rooms at OCC to discuss any issues you may have and to offer support and signposting where possible.

We are not Counsellors and are also not here for the purpose of being intermediaries or to support through the grievance/bullying & harassment processes but we can advise you on the various types of help available to you and point you in the right direction.
