State Pension And National Insurance Contribution Changes

DPF Circular 02/16 which was published on 7th January 2016 sought to bring to the attention of all members, that changes would be made to National Insurance Contributions paid by those in the main civil service pension schemes, following the introduction of the Single Tier State Pension system in April 2016.

This document, along with the links contained within it, seek to highlight in more detail how the introduction of the Single Tier State Pension system along with changes to National Insurance contributions will affect members, including those who have service in the main public sector Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes (Classic, Classic Plus, Premium, NUVOS and alpha).
